HOME LEARNING: Student Remote Learning

IF A STUDENT IS REQUIRED TO STAY AT HOME DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THEY MUST CONTINUE TO LEARN REMOTELY IF THEY ARE WELL AND ABLE TO DO SO.

They must log into Microsoft Teams Assignments using a computer, laptop, tablet or phone with a large screen at the start of every lesson on their normal timetable so that EITHER their teacher can livestream remote teach them with the rest of their class OR they complete the lesson set for them in Teams Assignments.

    • Phone: 020 8496 2310
      • Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.15pm
      • Friday 9am to 5pm

  • Wherever possible, maintain a regular and familiar routine, using the timetable provided by the school to support this.
  • Support their children in their reading as far as they are able, so that they continue to read their home reading book or access online reading resources
  • Support their children’s work as far as they are able, by discussing the work together and making appropriate plans for its completion. This can include providing a suitable place to work and encouraging their children to focus
  • Make the school aware if Microsoft Teams does not work on their devices
  • Be respectful when raising any concerns through the correct channels.

Instructions for using Microsoft Teams Assignments

If your child has access to online learning at home, they will need to log into Microsoft Office Teams Classes and go to every one of their virtual Classes to find work set in ‘Assignments’.

Students should login using their school computer username. This is in the form of first initial + surname + intake year @willowfield-school.co.uk, e.g. if I am a student and my name is James Francis and I joined the school in year 7 in 2018 my username would be JFrancis18@willowfield-school.co.uk .

Please find user guides to assist your child in logging into Microsoft Teams.
