More GCSE joy

Posted on: 22/08/2019

It was wonderful to see so many happy faces as we welcomed our year 11 students back on August 22 to collect their GCSE results.  They have achieved great things through hard work, sacrifice and in some cases overcoming real barriers on their way to such richly deserved success.  Everyone in the Willowfield family is celebrating another year of GCSE joy, maintaining our momentum of great results over recent years. A huge thank you to our dedicated staff who worked tirelessly to help our students get the best possible grades.

I would like to congratulate each and every student on their achievement and wish them well as they move on from Willowfield to the next phase of their learning journey.

There are so many success stories but would like to make a special mention for the following students for their outstanding achievement;

Ibrahim Bin Umer obtained ten grades at 7+ including four grade 9s and achieved the highest progress in the school.

Sara Misku secured a stunning seven subjects at grade 9, including English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Overall she achieved 11 GCSEs, all at grade 8 or 9.

Dorea Nengese made fantastic progress, gaining seven GCSE grade 7 or above and grade 9 in both English Language and Literature.

Yassine Ouerda and Sarah Nacer achieved impressive double grade 9 results in English.

Hamza Shahzad achieved 7 GCSEs at grade 8 or 9 including 9s in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Many other students secured similar sets of results, including Zaynah Hanif who achieved 10 GCSE grades at 7 and above, Adam Lohiya got grades 8 or 9 in eight subjects and Nihitha Yogeswaran secured 8 or 9 in six subjects.
