Willowfield Youth Health ChampionsPosted on: 30/06/2017
“On the 26th of May the Willowfield Youth Health Champions went to Walthamstow Town Hall to receive their level two NVQ qualifications in Public Health. This is equivalent to a GCSE qualification and is something we can put on our college application.
We have spent this year working on various campaigns to do with healthy lifestyles. We have presented information on bullying to the whole school as well as talk to year 10 about drugs. We have also held a stall in the canteen to promote healthy eating to staff and students.
It was a nice sunny day and we were all given some delicious food before we presented what we have worked on to the rest of Walthamforest Youth Health Champions
Many other topics were covered by other groups of Youth Health Champions ranging from healthy eating to mental health.
It was a nice end to our time as Youth Health Champions and we were all given a goodie bag once the presentations were over.”
