Willowfield 16- 12 Lammas

On Wednesday 7th  Novemenber the Year 7 girls made history by being the first girls Willowfield team to play competitive basketball. They should be commended for this excellent start in what was a closely fort game against lammas. The game finished in normal time 10-10, however in extra time the girls dug deep and finished the games with a run of three baskets which where achieved by Temitope, Julia and Monica. The MVP award went to Julia for being the highest scoring player over the course of the 50 minute game. I am delighted with the girls progress and the game helped to extend their knowledge of the game even further- Well done to the whole team.

The girls really enjoyed this experience at Ive Farm, Leyton and are eager to complete their remaining matches.  Natalia was the MVP with a number of long range shots and the team was well supported with our dynamic goal keeper Janessa who made a last minute save to secure the win against Lammas- Well done ladies.
